Amanda Ramos, President
Hi, I'm Amanda Ramos. I've been part of the board since 2020 and took on the role of president in July 2024, with my term lasting until July 2027.
Originally from Corydon, I returned home after 12 years away. Harrison County Arts is my favorite part of the community—it makes Corydon a personally and creatively satisfying place to live.
My journey in the arts and marketing world has been quite an adventure. I've had the chance to work with some amazing teams and projects, from digital marketing at Points of Light to boosting tourism at the Harrison County Convention & Visitors Bureau.
I hold a Master's degree in Art History from Hunter College and a Bachelor's from Indiana University–Purdue University. My passion for the arts has led me to work for places like the Indianapolis Museum of Art and the Savannah College of Art and Design.
In my role here, I'm all about making the arts accessible and engaging for everyone in Harrison County. I believe in the power of creativity to bring people together and enrich our lives.

Lorraine Hughes
My move to a farm near HCA in 2004 marked the beginning of an unexpected journey, given my professional background in Nursing and Health Science Education and 36 years of experience in a hospital setting. One might wonder how this relates to art, but I have found immense happiness in surrounding myself with creative people.
As I embark on this new phase of life, I am committed to nurturing my own creative spirit and that of our community. Through my involvement with HCA as a board member and artist member, I have gained a deeper understanding and passion for art, as well as formed meaningful connections with fellow creatives.
My experience as a hospital educator has also been highly valuable in contributing to the development of learning opportunities and marketing initiatives at the gallery.
