Learn More Below
Harrison County Arts is excited to introduce a new community-focused exhibition space within the upstairs Linda K. Shoults Resource Center (LKSRC). This flexible gallery area is designed specifically for non-profits, educators, and community groups to share creative work in an accessible and welcoming environment.
The LKSRC exhibition space emphasizes works on paper—celebrating drawings, prints, photographs, writings, and mixed media that are lightweight and unframed. Using a simple push-pin display system, the space embraces an informal, salon-style presentation that prioritizes participation, experimentation, and ease of installation over traditional gallery constraints.
Non-profit organizations and educational institutions are invited to schedule the space at no cost, reinforcing HCA’s commitment to community access and creative education. Independent artists are also welcome to participate and may reserve the space for a small, accessible fee, helping to support the ongoing maintenance and programming of the Resource Center.
Whether showcasing a school project, a nonprofit initiative, or individual creative exploration, this space invites the community to connect through art in its most immediate and approachable form.
Use our community exhibition space, space constraints: 20” tall, 24’ wide.
Play our piano donated by the Grossman family.
We are open to play productions / live performances / book readings in this space.

Linda Shoults Resource Center
This space is dedicated to the memory and legacy of Linda, an artist, leader, and creative spirit whose life’s journey brought her home to Corydon, Indiana.
After years spent in Kansas—where she met her beloved partner, James Hays—Linda returned with him in retirement to Hayswood Farm, the place of his childhood. Together, they shared a passion for harness racing, owning and racing Standardbred pacers throughout Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.
Linda’s artistic voice echoed across the country through her Prairie Godmother Studio, first in Kansas and later here in Corydon. Her oil paintings—evocative landscapes, wildlife, horses, and sweeping visions of the Grand Canyon—are held in public and private collections nationwide.
A devoted advocate for the arts, Linda served as President of Harrison County Arts for many years and was a dedicated exhibitor at The Artisan Center and galleries throughout Indiana. She played a vital role in securing the historic Griffin building as the home for Harrison County Arts—a lasting gift to the community she so deeply enriched.
Let this space honor her vision, her leadership, and the enduring beauty she brought into the world.
